March JN update

posted Apr 10, 2013, 6:49 PM by Jason Brunken
Things have been uneventful in the JN for the last several meetings. All problems have been solved, there have been no elections. No resolutions have passed. However, a few resolutions have been presented to the General Assembly. Anti-nuclear power resolution was introduced by Egypt at the last meeting, but failed a vote in the General Assembly. Random events have been easily resolved by all nations that incurred them with the exception of Vietnam that has had difficulty ending a workers' strike. It is entering its third cycle. Hopefully Vietnam can get it fixed at the meeting this week.

Coming up in the Joined Nations will be new elections. First the Supreme Council at the next meeting and the President at the meeting after. New problems are posted. Please visit the problems page to see if your country has a problem to fix.

The 2012-2013 Joined Nations session is coming to an end. There are only about 3 meetings left. Will you be in the top three at the end? Check the standings. There is still time to get the points you need. Get creative.
